About

Above all, I value building collaborative, trusting relationships with my patients. I’m here to support and empower you on your journey toward greater well-being.

Hi, I’m Ellana.
I’m an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a mother of five, deeply passionate about health, the human body, and the natural world.

Background
My journey began in child-centered education, where I spent many years helping children learn independently through thoughtfully prepared environments. This experience taught me empathy, patience, and a thoughtful presence—qualities I now bring into the treatment room. I take the time to understand each person’s unique experience, creating a space where healing can unfold comfortably and effectively.

Over time, my own health challenges led me to discover osteopathy—not just as a form of treatment, but as a new way of understanding the relationship between body and spirit. Experiencing firsthand how gentle, personalized, hands-on care could bring lasting relief, I was amazed at how much lighter, more focused, and mobile I became with each session. I was able to walk with less pain—and I was grateful to have found a powerful method to incorporate into my self-care routine, designed to build resilience in both my structure and mind.

I was drawn to osteopathy’s foundational principles: treating the body as an interconnected whole and supporting function through anatomy-based, purposeful treatment. It all made sense to me—how my body created the space for my mind and life to flourish, and how providing care for it was therefore necessary. Dr. Still’s view of the body as a student of Nature deeply resonated with me. He believed the same laws that govern Nature also guide the body’s innate ability to heal and restore balance.

That realization lit a spark within me: the body mirrors the natural world—full of internal roads, flowing rivers, and maps that guide it toward wholeness in mind, body, and spirit.

My Training

I completed my Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, ON, a school rooted in the osteopathic principles discovered by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. My education was guided by experienced practitioners who continue to apply his philosophy through clinical assessment and treatment.

This comprehensive training involved in-depth study of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and osteopathic theory, combined with extensive academic coursework and supervised hands-on practice. It strengthened both my clinical skills and my ability to assess the body as an interconnected whole—enabling me to deliver treatments with clarity, precision, and purpose.Throughout my education, I worked with a wide variety of patients, building a solid foundation for applying osteopathic principles in real-world care. I am also a member of OSTCAN.

Working with patients has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. I approach each individual with attentiveness, curiosity, and respect for the body’s natural ability to heal and adapt at its own pace. Treatments are always tailored to your unique needs and lifestyle, focusing on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and supporting overall well-being. The goal of every treatment is to help your body move more freely and find balance, so you can live fully and enjoy each day—naturally and sustainably.
